This program was designed to empower female coffee producers and promote gender equality in the coffee business. The project has different phases, the first ones concentrating in a group of 40-woman coffee farmers of the region, which included training programs, technical assistance, and improvement of the wet mill. And in 2020 we started to update the coffee laboratory in the cooperative of this region. Better equipment at the cupping laboratory the farmers will be able to receive a targeted feedback and improve the quality according to the results. Higher quality coffee directly leads to a higher selling price, we hope to increase their income with this infrastructure improvement.
