1994

The company was founded by three coffee-producing families, and the first imports to the United States were made from their farms in Costa Rica. A total of four employees manage the operations.

2003

Through the relationship with other origins that existed through the selling of coffee seeds and new varieties, the first import of Guatemalan coffee was made.

2004

Chico Castro, our current cupper, becomes a certified Q Grader.

2005

The Coffee Source begins importing coffee from the rest of Central America as a result of the positive response and requests from clients.

2007

The Coffee Source expands to sourcing from South America making the first imports of coffees from Colombia, Peru and Brazil.

2011

The first sale to a destination beyond the United States is made to Japan.

2020

The Coffee Source Europe is created to serve clients in more destinations.

2021

The first import of coffee is made into the European Union coming from Colombia.

2024

The Coffee Source currently has 17 employees, 4 Q Graders,  17 warehousing locations in North America, 4 warehousing Locations in Europe and sources coffee from all Latin America.
